View Full Version : 18" kill speed to much?

Im going to get some 18" holeshot mx's and im wondering if they will kill my speed to much, i can handle a 2-3-4 mph kill but anymore mabye to much?
anybody no please write bak]

if it does drop it too much change the gearing.... drop the rear sprocket a few or raise the front 1 tooth

CALL ME LAZY:rolleyes: but how many teeth are on the back sproket and the front, its dark out and raining and i really dont want to go out and count?

Stock sprocket sizes are 15 tooth front and 38 tooth rear for a 400ex.

Note: I would think the 18" rear tires would be "fast" around a track due to being easier to handle and turn, plus the weight of the 18's may be much lighter than your other tires which = more power.:)

yea it depends what you wanna do...if youre on a track yes the 18" tire will be great w/ the stock geariing..but over all top end will be less

ya ... i was wondering if anybody has a pair of 18 holshot mx's, my question to u is can u still kick em out around corners ? i watch my friend with a pair on , drop the clutch on a muddy creek bed and they didnt spinn out one bit they just put him up on a wheele!?
