I couldnt stand it, lagged my computer down etc, im trying ares i think it is next, im fine with winmx for now though..

All file sharing programs are just as bad as the next, they all have some sort of spyware, atleast I have yet to see a clean one.

I did that on Ares, along with a whole bunch of games. I have never got a virus or anything from downloading off of them either, I just know what to look for, and if the name or file parameters look odd, I know to stay away from that.

there is a spyware free file sharing program and its loads better than anything out there all the files can be downloaded as full cds with the cover art and all. no dummy files whatsoever...:cool:

yea i've had lime wire for a lil bit now. Pretty cool program compared to what i had before (imesh).


As for it bogging down your computer you don't have to worry about that as long as u turn it off when your not using it. (takes up a lot of processing and virtual memory) Also you need to have a good virus scanner and spyware cleaner then finally defrag often and she'll stay running as good as new.
