I know one dude already asked this, but he was an a-hole about it and didnt get any good answers. In the gallery, there is a 250EX with a 28mm carb. Anyone know what kind of carb it is or what it came off of? The the little bull$*&# 22mm carb is a major restriction on the little motor. Does anybody know what size a stock 300EX carb is? I may just be able to make an adaptor plate so the 300 carb will fit. PLZ post. If you dont know just say so and if you do know ANYTHING dont hold out on me. If its a "secret" PM me. i dont race so you dont have to worry about anybody on the track. If you dont post Ill cry... :( ... lol!!!

i saw a 250ex on ebay with a 300ex carb..i was going to do it on mine untile we put it forsale a week later

thanks for the reply. ill get on ebay and try to find a 300ex carb. know of any aftermarket 28mm carbs?

stock 300ex carb is 32 mm. thats probably a little big for 229cc. maybe you could send your stock carb to gthunder or sparks and see if they can bore your stock carb out

i can more than likely make any carb fit on it. what is a good quality carb? what would be a good size?

if stock is 22, the biggest i would go with out any motor work would be like a 24mm

ill be using a powroll bore kit, web camshaft, and a sparks exhaust. Also I will have a K&N filter+jet kit and maybe one of those outerwears airbox lids. People can run all these mods with the stock carb, but i think you could see some nice gains with a bigger one.

then the 300ex carb will be perfect..the guy i saw that had one had cams,poweroll kit, and the basic other stuff

Thaks for the info. Any Idea on what one will cost? Should i Buy a new or used one? I plan on having the baddest 250EX in the... well it'll be fast, let's put it that way.:devil:

i had one i was about to buy for 25 dollers and it looked good..id go with a good used one
