400ex to crf450 conversion

Does anybody know whether or not i could just use a stock 400ex frame to convert into a crf450 dirt bike motor, or do i have to go with an aftermarket 400ex frame?? Basically will the stock frame be good enough or wiil i need an aftermarket frame?? also if a stock frame works will i need to get it gusseted?? PLEASE HELP!!!

Alot of people have done the crf/ex conversion. I don't think stock frames hold up to well. I'm getting the idea that an aftermarket 400ex frame converted to a crf450 would do ok if done right. It still wouldn't be as strong as a frame built for the crf motor in the first place.
Me and you are kinda in the same boat, looking for hybrid frames.
