trouble, please help

Today I was riding my 2003 300ex and all of a sudden the bike wouldnt go faster than 10 or 15 miles per hour and no higher than 4,000 or 5,000 RPM in every gear. I have no idea what is wrong so please help me.

That is what I was thinking.

make sure the mainjet or needle assembly didn't fall out of place. also, make sure your air boots holding the carb on are tight and aren't cracked.
