i just pretty much finished putting together the crf450.i read in the manual i should use honda hp coolant or a coolant designed for use in aluminum engines.i thought there was only 2 kinds of coolant red, the new dex cool stuff, and green the older type coolant, which is the color of the stuff that was in the motor. i know cause i took the water pump cover off.
so is all green coolant the same?
i know that i need to run it at a 50/50 mix ratio

what do you guys use?

I would put the boysen water pump impeller in and use Liquid Performance coolant. It will stop the over heating. The Liquid Performance coolant is also pre-mixed. I tried everything and this combo works best.
