im going to jail for GOOD!!!!

well folks ill be off to jail on march 9th 2005
i will be volunteering one hour of my time to help fight muscular dystrophy!
while in the slammer i will be calling friends and family for small donations for the MDA (muscular dystrophy assosiation) otherwise known as my bail.
if anyone would like to participate in the drive please pm me for details
on march tenth i will start a new thread giving credit to all who participate and thanking everyone for their support

i guess i do have a heart after all:D

That's awesome that you're doing it for such a good cause. They do the same thing in my area for different causes also . The cops will show up at someones place of work ... handcuff them and bring them to the jail cell in the local mall . Then the employees where the person works and his friends and family need to raise a certain amount so that he or she can be released . If you don't want your boss around for the day , this is the perfect way to get him outta your hair . :p I just hope my employees don't do that to me this year . :blah:

i opted for the limo because i see the back seat of the police car in my nightmares to often lol

LMAO ... it's f***ing cramped in the back of one of those ... the ones i've been in anyways . I had no room for my legs or feet .... i had to like sit with them turned outwards . But the one time they hog tied me , they layed me down face first on the seat ... what a bunch of nice guys they were . :grr:

WOW. Muscular dystrophy is obviously a muscle condition, and My450r is being a good person and participating in this thing where they "put you in jail" and they let you out when you raise enough money (your bail) and the money goes towards the fight to Muscular dystrophy. Hes not actually going to jail for punishment.. I always thought 40 year olds would be alittle brighter

Muscular dystrophy is a medical condition that affects young and old people . Organizations that raise money to help provide research and help to these families affected often have fundraisers such as " Send you boss to Jail" type things . The cops will go pick up your boss ... bring them to jail , and people have to raise money for the person to be able to get out of jail.

It's all in the name of fun .... usually they set up a makeshift jail inside a mall or soemthing so that people can see which community people have been " locked away" :p

3 of 4 of my dads brothers have MD. 2 are currently in wheelchairs and another one isnt more than a 2 or 3 years away from a wheelchair.

They had a fundraiser not long ago in my area for Cancer Research . They would shave your head for you in you donated a certain amount .... one girl with the longest hair I've ever seen shaved it all off and donated it to the Cancer foundation for them to make wigs for cancer patients . My cousin shaves her head every summer and donates it to the same cause .... it just hair ... it'll all grow back anyways . :D

Greta to see people come out and support events like these .... we'll all know someone in our life at one time or another that will suffer from one of these deseases .

me and a buddie were put in the back of a police SUV and the back seat was about 2 square feet, and the seat was molded so your hands fit there with handcuffs on:p damn that sucked:blah:

I've participated in a Cancer Walk to help raise money for Cancer research in Wichita. It's a pretty neat thing. You can choose how far you want to walk and then companies donate X amount of dollars for the miles you walk.

Cops don't like it when you turn your back to them when they ask you for ID and you keep on drinking . When he put his hands on my shoulder I might have told him to take his hands off of me , but in a slightly slurred manor .... I think a few swears were added also . I was told I was being arrested ... I laughed ... then they threw me to the ground and spilt my beer . :grr: I guess they didn't want me to walk , so they hog tied me and carried me to the cruiser instead . I know one of my friends has a picture of them carrying me ... I'll try and track the pic down . :)

thats great my450 ive done it to quite a few people.. the cops go pic you up in uniform and cuff ya and stuff ya. then they take em over to the holiday inn lobby where there are a bunch of other inmates there and table and chairs. they spread out bunch of phone books and phones for you to call. thing is you can usually call long distance anyplace to raise the money... for a good cause , good luck man
