Go to college. $22.40 is chump change.

We have new engineers here that start out at around 25.00..

I don't think 22.50 is chump change, degree or not

And by the way, you do have to be from WV

Just keep in mind that it is fairly cheap to live around here. An $90k house around here could easily cost you $200k or more in other parts of the county. $22.40 an hour is a pretty decent pay rate for an unskilled factory job.

Yes you do. :D

But that's the whole point. Yes, $22.50 is pretty good for a laborer. It's lousy for a college degree. Invest some time and money improving yourself (college) and YOU could also be laughing at $22.50

$45k a year is NOT rich. It's about average.

The cost of living here is way lower than other parts of the country, so 22.40 an hour is good pay, i have absolutely free benefits with Blue Cross Blue Shield, so thats worth another 5 bucks on the hour, they pay for uniforms, coats, boots, and every July, depending on how many days i miss i get a $7500 bonus. I've only worked there 2 years.I get a week off in July and a week off at Christmas, plus i have 2 weeks vacation time i can take. I average 3 hours overtime a week and never work saturdays. I like my job and i did'nt have to spend 50 grand to go to college. I made 87 g's last year and i'm SINGLE, so i'm settin' pretty, i think.LOL
