Has anyone replaced stock crank and piston with a WR 450 crank and piston?

from what i read. Everything bolts right up. U will need to run a wr450 pistion tho instead of ur YFZ450 piston. And the crank must be a 04 year

i hope you are buying the kit from bansheebc from magnolia...

also skip the wr piston, and get a cp piston made for the wr kit from asher at yfztech or yfzcentral.

imo, it would be a lot cheaper to get the crower cam, and would prolly make more power than just the stock wr crank and piston. correct me if i'm wrong tho, i'm still a noob to the yfz.

i would wait for the crower package...

the wr450 for sure will make more power everywhere.

WR kit, Everything you need to make your YFZ a true 449CC comes with

WR crank Complete
WR/YZ 12.5:1 compression stock piston
Rings
Circlips
Wrist pin
all gaskets with a tube of yamabond

Price is $355.00, without piston is $280.00 with gaskets or $225 just for the crank

there were a few saying they only got the cam, which is $200 with your core, and said they were really happy with it.

Yea i decided not to go with the true 450. Just piston and crower Gen 1 cam.
