I'M LOOKING FOR SOME RACER IMPUT ON THE PERFORMANCE AND DURABILITY OF HIPER RIMS. I'D LIKE TO GET SOME FEED BACK FROM PEOPLE WHO HAVE RAN THEM BEFORE AND GET THE PROS AND CONS ABOUT THE HIPER RIMS BEFORE I PICK A SET UP.
THANKS

I've been racing on them for 3 years and they are by far the best wheels I've ever run. There are no cons to these wheels at all.
Pros are:
Light weight
Flexable
Super strong
Won't flat spot (like alum.)
1 year warantee
Easy to mount tires
Mud and rocks don't get stuck in wheels (like alum.)
Optional mud caps
Color options for rings
Cheaper than ITP Pro Series Beadlocks and Douglas Ultimate Beadlocks.

Cons:
None

Exactly! I will never buy another type of rim again. I just hope soon enough I can get enough money to afford a front pair of HiPers to go along with my rear:( .

Do the front HiPer rims come with both bolt types as the rear do? (Honda and Yamaha)

THANKS JEFF, MY BIGGEST CONCERN WAS DAMAGE CAUSED BY ROCKS. I'M NOT SURE IF THEY WOULD HOLD UP THE SAME AS A ALUMINUM RIM, BEING THAT THEY ARE A COMPOSITE STYLE RIM.

not to mention their service. I damaged two threads on the outer bead lock ring on my front wheel. I called them up and they are sending me a new outer half of the wheel for 30 bux. thats cheap!!! You'd have to buy a whole new rim with other brands.

Toadz400 the fronts dont have universal mounts like the rears, You either get Honda or Yami. As for Hipers, everything Jeff said is true. They are the greatest rims made, the quailty and service is top notch and they look kick *****.

Where's about the cheapest place to get a set of HiPers from? What's about the best price?

You can get them from national tire and wheel. 10x5 $175 and 9x9 $190. You can also get 8x8 but I do not know how much they cost. www.ntwonline.com

Stock tires are pretty light and the 18" Kendas are overweight for what they are, I am running the 9" HiPers w/ 18" Kendas and the Kendas are heavy as hell..for an 18' at least.

How are they overrated and over priced?? They are the same price/cheaper than aluminum race beadlocks!

Any beadlock will be heavier than the stock rims but hipers are supposed to be lighter than aluminum beadlocks.

Stock tires have a two ply rating which makes them light but can be easily punctured. I'm not sure about the mxr4's but i'd bet they have a 4 ply rating and a better tread pattern. More rubber means more weight.
