is a 400ex and 300ex bumper interchangeable?

i believe you can make the 400ex bumpers fit the 300ex by using 1/4 inch spacers on the bottom mounting holes and ofcourse longer bolts.

this is a pro armor 450R/400ex bumper on a 300ex.
