tightening chain help!!

i just put a 14t sprocket on the front of my 400ex and i cant get the axle to slide back to tighten the chain, anyone have any tips or anything on how to tighten it? i loosened the allen bolts but the axle wont slide either way, anything will help thanks

lol the axle isnt the thing that is suppose to move,it is the bearing carrier itself along with the axle,you will see right by the sprockt,a hub thing with holes in it,stick something in there and push it forward to loosen it,and backwards to tighten it

should i tighten it on a stand or on the ground?

you need to have the tires off the ground,so just throw a 5 gallon bucket or anything that will hold the rear end up
