Motor Oil used

I was just curious what oil those of you who race pro class or A class use in the 450R? Weight? Type? Same in both sides?

i use HP4M in engine and GN4 regular 10-40 in tranny...
i change it every 9-10 hrs
new honda filter every time

Mobile 1 15w-50 red cap synthetic...change every 15-20 hours..new filter everytime

is that stuff xpensive? do you use oem filters if not ?what kind

If you're racing Pro or A class or another words you put a lot of torture on your motor (WFO, hehe)....I'd recommend BelRay Thumper 20w-50. Its great stuff! I'm an A class rider and have a "built" motor.......the Thumper oil holds up great to the wear and tear. Its definitely time for an oil change for me right now and the stuff still hasnt broke down and turned black.

Thumper is designed for motors like the YFZ or TRX. I use it in both sides of the motor. I havent missed a gear in a long time, smooth shifts everytime!

Only drawback....anywhere from $4 - $5 per quart :mad:

I use K&N oil filters in my quad, beats paying $11 for a Honda filter!!!

i use motorex oils. power synt 4t in the motor side, and motorex 10w 30 gear oil in the tranny. no problems yet. hi flo filters, 4-5 bucks a piece. change it after every race, and once during the week after a few practices.
