So everyone thinks that the 300's look better with that plastic handlebar cover taken off right. Well I was thinking about taking mine off and welding a cross bar on the and putting a pad on that also using the 87 250x ignition holder. What do you guys think is it worth wile. The whole thing will only cost like 25.00 cdn. If anyone else has done this could you post pics. or if ya have or know where I could get an ignition holder let me know. I can get it from the dealer for 20 bucks! Thanks!

I think the plastic peice is just there to protect the bars??? And honda thinks it looks good i guess.... Honda needs to do a makeover on the 300's they just dont look to hot in stock form...
About the ignition I've never seen it but as long as its not a huge peice of metal and it looks clean, I think it would work great.

No it wouldnt be a big huge metal piece it would only be a small metal tube the size of your thumb and I would put a pad on it so they would look like aftermarket bars!

I just got rid of the stock bars/plastics all together :) got some FLY aluminum ATV bend bars, & relocated my key switch to my rihgt side plastics :D

That's similar to what I did. I got some cheap MSR bars and made my own key/light mount out of aluminum sheet metal.
