Use a 1 inch drill, drill 6 holes in the airbox. Buy the uni 1 in. holes(6 per pack) and put them in. I do not recommend this although it is a great mod but you can buy the out wears for a little exra $$$ and get a way better performance gain.

Use a 1" holesaw, it works great. I recommend this mod and have done it to my airbox. The vents are easy to install and the filters are easily cleaned.

Or you could just get a K&N Outerwear and take ur whole airbox lid off.:devil

I put six holes 1" holes in mine. Instead of getting the pop in filters I would reccomend getting some good nylon window screeen to cover the holes. Just get some clear silicone to hold the screen in place. This keeps the debris out and will not become stopped up when the trail gets really dusty. Also get a outerwears prefilter, well worth the money.

I also drilled 6 1" holes in my airbox. Drill them in the back half, so if water gets in, it won't go on the filter.

I think 6 holes is a lot. I would go with 4 or less.

I drilled 4 holes, but make sure to put the holes towards the back like some one else mentioned.

I had 4 - 1" holes drilled into my lid with the Uni vents and was running rich, I put 2 more in and it leaned it out to where it needs to be! It just depends on how your machine is running and what set up you have. Check your spark plug also. You might have to rejett.
