advice needed for steering alignment

i have a 2003 foreman 450 and it seems that my steering is out of whack. i might have screwed it up plowing but not really sure. i would like to know how to go about checking for proper alignment. is it to be towed in or out and by how much. any one out there who can give me some tech info it would be really appreciated. thanks

I don't know the right way to go about doing a front end alignment but I do know how to get it to your likeing.

How I align my quad is to first measure the distance between the tires and make sure that it is toed in just a tad.

Then I go out and ride it:
I pick a point (ie. a tree) and hold my arms to what I believe is straight. Then I adjust it until it goes stright for the object that I am driving at.
