Tach wanted for my 400ex

Does anybody know of a company that makes a tachometer for the 400ex??

There's a little digital tach called Tiny Tach ( www.tinytach.com ) which would work. It updated every couple seconds, so you don't get an instant response readout, so it may not be good for racing or dynamic changes, but it would certainly work for diagnostics.
