Were they just cheap on the 300ex's??? Why would the supension get worse? Wasn't the 300 the best sport quad Honda made in 96? Why would they make suspension worse 10 years later. Just wondering. Thanks!

You should try to make more sense. That post doesnt make hardly any. Honda didn't make the suspension worse chances are if you bought a used one the suspension is shot.

I'm trying to find out if a 96 300ex has as good of suspension as a 86 250R. I would think it would since it is 10 years newer. I've only ridden the 250R and I'm considering buying a 300 or a 400 ex. I know the 250R is probably faster, but I'm wondering if it's suspension is better too.

Any help would be great. Thanks.

The 300ex was the only sport quad Honda made in 96. Yes, the shocks are very cheap on the 300ex. They are the same shocks that came on the 87 250X. The 250R was a high perfomance racing quad were the 300ex was/is an entry level sport quad.
