I got a twist throttle for my 2000 400ex and i got to get the gas tank off to put it on. I took the rear plastics and seat off but i can't figure out how to get the front ones off to get the gas tank off.
Can anyone tell me the trick to doing that

there are 4 bolts. 2 are on the side covers. and the other 4 are under your fenders on the fender mount. you can pop out the clips that hold the side cover on the front fenders if you want but you don't have to. don't forget to turn off your gas before you take the tank out.

ok, take your fenders off, throw them across the shop, take a flat head screw driver there should be 4 little black things that pop up with the flat head, take then out, pop the tank cover off, then unde the front fenders theres an upper and lower bolt (10mm) on both sides, take them out and pull all your plastic off then there are 2 small straps on the sides of your tank and 2 10MM bolts under the steering stem, after you take them out tilt your tankright and unhook the hose that goes to the carb and its off, i hope you understood what i was saying and i hope that helps.:D

that will $10 please:devil:

you dont have to take your front plastics off to put a twist in.
