350X and 300ex question

many people do a mod to there 300ex by putting a intake tube from the carb to the airbox from a 350X on the 300ex.
i was wondering what year 350X does the tube come off of.

Honda only made the 350x for 2 years. 1985 and 1986. The intake was the same both years.

does the 350X tube have that little hole for a hose that connects to it like on the 300ex. I dont even know what it is for. I ran the engine with it off just to see what it did and it didnt seem to do anything but return air from the enigine to the intake tube to be reused again or something.

No, The 350x intake does not have a spot for a vent tube.

you can run w/o it.

does it run to the engine? Mine has one that runs from the airbox to the side of the engine. If that is the case i would find somewhere sealed off to connect it to. So that no mud water dirt sand...ect will get into it.
