If you were going to buy an aftermarket 250R frame, with a front suspension kit, and a rear suspension kit; what would you buy?

1. Roll Design (RD) complete frame.
2. Arens frame, RD suspension kits.
3. LRD frame, RD suspension kits.
4. Gibson complete frame.
5. Laeger complete frame.
6. Arens frame, Laeger T-pin fronts.
7. LRD frame, Laeger T-pin fronts.
8. Lonestar complete frame.
9. Walsh complete frame.
10. Herrmann complete frame.

Arens does have a great reputation for such a small company. It would be hard to choose between any of those chassis but as far as front ends the Walsh is genius. It is the only front end (that I know of) that truly has a progressive leverage ratio. Your back suspension uses linkage to change the amount of leverage through the travel, the lower shock mount on the Walsh a-arm does the same. It has a lot of leverage at the bottom for a smooth ride over rough stuff then softens at the top to resist bottoming. :p http://www.eastcoastatv.com/GilAttixCRF450/crx45002.jpg

If I could Buy any Frame it would be Walsh. That Stuff is a Work or Art. Laeger would be my Second Choice.

First would be Walsh see alot pros with something Walsh on their bikes, that and the Aarms Walsh makes look sweet. Second might be the LRD Attitude frame once it's proven itself alittle more.

I think the aluminum frame is a better work of art than the walsh or roll. If i was going to get a front end for it i would go with the laeger t pin.

ECA400, How would you Compare Walsh, Roll Design, and Laeger? Which Order and Why?

they are the top three frame builders.we mainly deal with walsh, roll and not at all with laeger.we are not a laeger dealer.i built joe byrds bikes last year and he likes running laeger.the chassis are a matter of preference and availability.most of our riders run walsh bikes and a couple have rolls.if you look at what the pros are riding they are out there racing to win ,not ride what was given to them for free or at a discount.they ride what they feel comfortable on ,and what handles the best for them.if any bike was so much better than another they would all be on the same thing. same goes for shocks .some run axis ,some pep.it just depends on the rider 's preference.

Yeah I think a lot of the Pro`s have a Chassis and Suspension Setup they like Best. Tim Farr has always run Laeger and PEP as far as I know. Doug Gust switched over to Walsh and he said it was better then the Laeger Setup. He still uses PEP Shocks though. I think over time more Top Guys will be using Walsh.

I like the Walsh 450 better, but I think Tim Farr`s 450 is better then both of those when it comes to Looks.
