whats a good clutch kit

i was woundering what would be a good clutch kit for my 440ex. i do have a barnett in it and it fride in like 5 rides and it was adjusted right. i have heard that barnetts have this prob with them. so what is a good heavy clutch kit to get. thanks

You want OEM plates and fibers with aftermarket heavy duty springs, this will be more durable than the Barnett.

with the sparks kit do u need the hinson basket.

No you dont,but if you are using (or plan on using) a hydrolic clutch you will need a 1 mm shim to place somewhere i think it is on the clutch thingy,i am not so sure with the Sparks 8 plate cluthc

The Gt thunder and sparks are like the sam kit basically

OEM is the best in my opinion. Unless you go all out and buy a 8 plate with hinson basket and the works. I have always ran OEM fibers and steels, they seem to last the longest.

so do u need a 1mm shim with any hydrolic clutch. i am useing a magura. and are u talking about the shim going on the slave cyclender.

found the prob it wasn't my barnett it was my magura clutch. there mounting hardwar is to dam short and was allowing my clutch to be pulled in and leting it slip. now the next thing to get magura to fix the prob. thanks for all ur imput and help.

anything but barnetts i had them to and had the same problem i bought that chit dirt digger set and fryed them in like 2 weeks of light riding so i put in a set of vesrahs with the barnett springs and now it kiks *** nd i know where ur coming from cuz im big bred too the quad actually had snapped clutch fibers a few trimes and they were all barnetts and i have not yet seen a snapped vesrah

I had a barnett in my modded banshee and never had a problem at all. Always started in second gear too, and usually just dumped it and it never even hinted at slipping.

With a Sparks kit you don't need the hinson basket. But you need to specify if you are going to put it in a stock basket or hinson basket.

They have 2-8 plate clutch kits; one that allows you to put it in your stock basket, and another an 8 plate kit for the hinson basket.

no use in bashing a barnett because your problems most likey came fron wrong installation or a badleyt adjusted clutch cable haha

Barnett clutches are good clutches. If you burn up a Barnett clutch in a couple rides then it is most likely an installation or oil error.

I did lots of planning. The quad is the way it is right now, ready to race with top notch products in it, because I knew little poopy pants was coming and my money is pretty much gone at that point.

i finly got a clutch kit i ended up geting a cutris sparks kit. i got it on ebay for $90 new i had to get it for that price.
