take a racketball and whenever your driving, or just sitting around on your *** squeeze it with your throttle hand and thumb. that will make it seem more sissy like.

Be glad you didn't buy a YFZ. The FCR has a stronger spring... and for sure... someone would have to call the Waaaainbulance on you.

i actually think my 450r throttle is really EASY compared to my old 250r with a pwk39mm carb. for some reason my old 250r always had a stiff throttle, but i just dealt with it...after riding alot you get used to it. after having that and going to the new 450 it was so much easier.:)

Try and lube the cable but it really shouldn't be bad if it's "new". Work out your thumb/ forearms and deal with it if it's such a deal, riding quads sucks doesn't it? LOL

Twist Throttle...solved my problem, also open the throttle assy and rip out the return spring in there, That will help alot

Okay here is what I did. I took the carb off, pulled the shaft out of the carb, cut the shaft spring,(maybe a half a coil, dont cut over this or it wont have enough pressure to close slide, dont cut too much at a time.I just reckecked it a few times before installing it back in completely) put a small bent in it like the factory so it can hook on the tab.. then reinstalled it. Now the trick is to NOT cut too much and getting it back into the carb because the shaftend goes into the throttle postion switch and the idle adjustment linkage is in the way. I forced it back in after fighting it for a while. I would not recommend this to anyone that isnt mechanically inclined. It wasnt easy but now my thumb throttle is as easy as my old z400 was!! So dont listen to those who dont have an answer.

If you were looking at a parts diagram which spring is it. I know my brother can do this but just wanted to double-check which spring it is.

the 06 -07 throttles are harder than the 04 -05, yes the carbs are diff, but so is the throttle.

i switched to a 05 450r thumb throttle, and all arm pump went away. you can use a throttle from a 250ex, 400ex, 450r, trx90, as long as its before 2006

the new thumb throttles suck, and are twice the size, taking up more room on your bars.

I found the 06 throttle to be very tiring as well.
I can ride either...twist or thumb... so i put a twist on.
