I have a two year old Houser frame crf450r that I built, and installed a GT Thunder Pipe. It is a good pipe and would consider buying another. I want to enter in some GNC events this year but I think it is to loud to pass the noise level test that I' ve heard the ATVA is putting into Tech Inspections. Your replies will be greatly appreciated.

to remove all doubt, call Laz up and see what he has for Db levels on his pipes. id bet to say the one you have will not pass the new mandates, but if im not mistaken he is building pipes that will.

Thanks Pappy; I also have some reliability issues with the pipe too. I'll see if he has addressed those also. Anymore suggestons out there?

There only sound testing for the pro class this year.

Thanks Kyle; My emphasis will be on the senior class. I would like to race in an open-am class also. Is there a time-table to db test everyone? I'm thinking it won't be long, so I might as well get one that will pass just in case.

I read they will be doing the rest of the classes the following year.

rich has some of those exhausts, probably laying around, they will work fine on your quad and also rich has done alot of work on tuning those engines with db passing noise...but so has laz :)

I visited the hetrick racing site already, and didn't see any listed. I'll give Rich a call asap. Thanks again George P.S. I purchased my after-market parts from BMS through Matt, he was a raising star, and a fine young man. His accident is a reminder that we are not promise another day.
