Hi guys........I don't mean to bother you guys over here, but I figured I'd ask a few questions.......Seens how us preddy guys are starting to go to the 450r carb, I was wondering what you guy are doing to this carb as far as modding it?? Does anyone have any tips that will make the carb even better?? I know on our preddy carb, we can cut spring, etc....can you do anything like that on this one??

Thanks a lot guys........I really appriciate it!!!

You can put in the new hrc needle. I dont think there is to much moding to the stock carb.

The 450r carb doesnt have that spring set-up like the preds and DS650's carb. I havent heard of any simple mods for the carb as of yet.

No need to modify the carb - leave it alone with the exception of jetting it in to your setup - it is not a CV carb, so there is no spring to cut.

The HRC needle has no benefit if it doesn't work with your setup - the needle affects mixture at part throttle.

The 450R carb is a far better unit than the stock Pred carb & should offer a substantial performance increase.
