i bought a rear elka off ebay for a 175-200lbs rider and it is duel rate with remote rezzy.... the rebound on the shock is freaking crazy as soon as it is pressed down it rockets back up this happend after i got the spring on it adjusted...... i cant remember how the rebound was before i got it adjusted but the spring was about 7 inches down and i got it moved up i think about 3 and i would think that moving the spring up would soften stuff including the rebound but apparently this isnt true so what can i do to fix this? i know this may not be a very good description and if it isnt let me know

Are you sure you dont have a blown rear shock? Any signs of oil on the shaft or stopper? Otherwise there will be a screw on the base of the shock (by where it bolts to linkage), and that is your rebound adjustment.

If turning the rebound down doesnt help, its more than likely blown.
