I just bought a yfz and the guy painted th eheadligths a flat black.Is there anything I can use to remove it without messing up the lenses?

try either paint thinner or mineral spirits (sp)

no its on the outside its a flat black. I want to use the headlights but I dont want to discolor or scratch th elenses.

I heard brake fluid removes paint quite well, never tried it.

I'd be leary about using any chemical to remove paint from the lenses for fear of damaging them.

Check ebay for a used replacement, i'm sure many people remove them for racing.

LoL why would you paint the lens??? :huh Would just normal paint remover work? I don't think it should be to strong for the lens. Just dont scrape at it.

Ok, tried brake fluid and carbn cleaner and they didnt work at all.The guy painted them cause he said when he was doing tricks and people took pic of him, they came out blurry cause of the lights being on.

Use Easy-Off oven cleaner. Let it sit on there for a while, then just rinse everything off. It wont hurt anything.
