Choke question

i will probably get abused for asking this question since im new with bikes but please help me. When starting the quad which position is the choke lever on and which way is it off?

on a 400ex, all the way back is no choke, all the way forward is full choke, and inbetween it should kind of click into place and that's half choke.

what quad do u have? if its a 400ex the yellow tab should be pointing down. Otherwise i dont know there should be an indicator and if u tell me what quad i can find out for you most likely.

its a 400ex but what im asking is when the yellow lever is horizontal is it on on choke or off?

if the choke is on the end of the lever will point toward the front of your quad. If it is off it should be pointing down.
