Hello, I am 15 years old and have been riding for 8 years and will start racing MX this summer.

But first, I must upgrade my blaster to a new faster atv.

Right now I am on a tricked out blaster(in my sig) and have basically mastered it. So I am comfortable on 2 strokes.

Right now I'am leaning towards a 250r but theres also the yfz. I live in Nebraska and at the tracks I will race at, theres only open classes.

Plz post YOUR opinion on you think would be right for me, and whats good and bad for each.

if your good on a 2-stroke then go for the 250r. it will be cheaper than a 450 and with a good rider it should keep up.

get the two-five-oh R man!!! then take it to mark baldwin and tell him "money isnt an issue" and youll get a 330r that hands the *** of anyone to them. my buddy did this, no lie, and his bike is so incredible. the R is a great base for a MX quad. cant go wrong there. nothing is better than OLD SCHOOL!

i agree with throwinitup. you might not have enough for that setup but if ya get a yfz your gonna spend 7 grand for the bike and still have to buy the mx goodies while you can prolly get a full mx 250r for around that much.

man, i'd like a 250r too but a yfz is built for mx, an r is good too but i've been to the races and on flattrack you need a lot done to your r to keep up with the yfz's but i want a 250r too, probably a lot cheaper put 7000 bucks in that and you should be set, other than spendin it just for the bike

have fun

true but, i have a 250ex and blaster to sell, I already have 350.00 and can sell some random things. From me alone, i am guessing i can buy anything up to 5000 and i am sure my parents would help me out.

I want a yfz but there so expensvie to mod, but if I got the 250r, its cheaper and more moded.

well.. first off you gotta be 16 to race any of those bigger quads. so i'd suggest racing your blaster for this season until u are actually old enough to race a bigger quad

not necessarily... most track that aren't ama sanctioned only make you have a parent sign up with you. i raced my 300ex before i was 16. but it might be different there
