400EX ignition

Ok, i am stumped. Anybody ever had their ignition switch or any ignition part go bad?

Here is what i know. I have a good battery, good solenoid, good fuse in the CDI box, good ground, and my wires have good connection. It seems maybe the switch is fried?

I'd take it apart and clean up the connections, they could be corroded. Did you change the clutch lever/perch recently?

yes, i did change the clutch lever & perch recently, but i started experiencing problems before that. Why?

I assume this is an intermittent problem?

If so, i'd say there is a bad connection somewhere. Look inside the switch housing and make sure the two wires from the safety switch taped together properly.
