the square end goes on the frame right up against the motor mount on the right (brake) side. the piston goes inside the frame and under the radiator. The round end is mounted to the steering stem six inches up I think. and that's it. there's a brake tab there that you might have to bend, just pry it with a screw driver and it'll be good.

I didn't want to move all the brake lines and it is a pain if you have full nerfs. So, I welded the bracket to the front bumber where it is easy to get to but still protected.

It works great and is easy to adjust, keep tight, lubed and clean. I am thinking of putting another one just like it on the other side and have them criss cross? ....dual stabilizers dude!:macho

I've bent a bumper all the way to the frame from hitting a tree that didn't even throw me off. That's an expensive fix.

Even worse, it could end your race or set you way back while your trying to remove the mangled stabilizer/bumper combo. If he's into racing that is.

I've XC raced that quad with that stabilizer about 12 times now, 2 of them GNCC's. The bolt cam off 1 time which made alot of noise but didn't affect my finish and I have sheared the top bumper bolts off by hitting a guy that hit a tree...again it did not affect my finish. Don't get me wrong, I have hit many trees. But my hits tend to stay out on the tires.

If I hit a tree hard enough to send that bumper back to the frame...the last thing I am worrying about is the stabilizer.:D

i don't know about the other guys but my Pro-Tect bumper hit a brick wall and only bent, after it sheared two bolts. the guy was able to fix it for $20. people that hit stuff shouldn't buy aluminum bumpers!
