I got the following info off another forum:

If anyone is thinking of purchasing Axis Shock. Let me tell U they are not the Co. they where. Rick @ Axis doesn't know what to do with my Wlash set up. Bike sits to Hi. Shock is very stiff. They will not send out any springs for me to test the shock & they are not testing it @ there shop. I can purchase more springs & try myself. I Have paid for a shock that was supose to set up for my bike @ a certain riders weight. This is not the case. Buy another shock. Do Not Buy Axis. Need more info call me @ ###-###-#### Axis Suck. Where is the Mike I usta Know @ Axis. Worried about ARS FX Only I Guess.

I love my Custom Axis suspension. I wouldn't trade it for anything other than PEP's. Elka's are nice as well, they seem to me like they are made more in a "bulk" process even though they are said to be individually tuned to a riders weight.

what kind of riding will you be doing? If you are mostly trail rider, dont get the +2, either get stock width, or +1 with +4+1 rims to offset to the inside. You will hit every tree on the trails, if they are anything like in tenn.

The 2+1s seem to be the hot setup all of the sudden, at least for the LSR arms, the new generation Dc4s are all +2+1. Tim Farr will be running these arms this weekend at Phoenix. Also LSR just came out with a linkage/swingarm similar to the Walsh savior, and Rudy @ DFR has been valving Axis shocks for that setup so im sure he knows where to go with your Walsh setup. Give him a call 480.664.9860

Personally, I would not go +1 forward on the front a-arms. This was done to shift the weight on the 250r's to ballance the weight better front to rear (shift weight to rear). On the 450r, adding length to the swingarm will achieve the same effect, improving the balance of the bike. Moving the a-arms forward, shifts weight to the rear - most likely not what you want to do.

I have PEP ZPS shocks and a 1+1 setup and love it. I did have 2+1 and that worked awesome for mx but not so great for cross-country racing so I switched to the 1+1 setup, it turns a lot better and PEP or Elka is the way to go for shocks, PEP are set up great for you and your riding style
