+3 a-arms and stock shocks 400ex

Im looking to get better suspension but i can only buy one part now and the other part a little later, a-arms and shocks. I was looking at burgard +3's would it make a difference if i just ran stock shocks, or would it be worse because they would be to soft. I know the guy Jeff on here really knows suspension well so if he stumbles across this thread could you please help me out.

cant do it, not only will it be WAY too sot but, +3 a arms are usually long tavel, so the shocks wont even reach.

ur def right bout the softnes but u can still run stock shocks with them because the std travel burgard plus 3's use 16 inch shocks n thats what stock are

The stock shocks will fit with standard travel +3's, BUT will be way to soft! I do not recommend running the stock shocks on extended arms.
If you have to do it in pieces, buy the shocks first have them valve the shocks for +3's but spring them for stock arms. Then when you get your +3 arms you can just do a spring swap.

Ok that sounds cool, how much would those other springs be, Im lookin at elkas so i think im gonna save up for those.

if i was u i would try to wait and get it all at once just keep saving till u get the money,or buy arms and don't put them on till u get shocks that way it gives u time to keep saving and choose the brand shock u want
