they are pretty cheap but look pretty tough, they look kinda like Graydon bars...

and i couldnt be happier with them, for the price they cant be beat. if u look at the specs u'll see they're even thicker than the other standard nerfs. the only thing is that i had to take off the black heel guard things, but that dint turn out to be any problem as long as u wear boots when u ride. they look trick and they fit on nice and tight with no extra work. hope this helps.

o and they've been banged up a lil bit between trees and rocks and stuff on the trails but show no signs of it, so far they look as good as new :)

I was gonna order them but they said at Rocky Mountain that they are on backorder until March:(

too bad you have to remove the black heel guards, I kinda like them:ermm:

I've got some and I am so glad i bought them they are really strong and mount up nice and easy. For the price you just cant beat em. Also you could keep the black heelguards if you wanted too but its alot easier to take them off, in the instrusctions it shows the quad with the nerfs on and the heelguard still on.

I can't ride much now b/c of the damn snow, so I guess I can wait until they comeback in stock in March:grr:

I have them and I still have my heel guards on. Just trim them up a little bit.

rockymountainatv sent me the wrong ones on accident, but they swore up and down they were for a 300. they stuck out 2 inches past the back tires. i used em one time and banged the crap out of them and sent them back. when i was installing them i had to ream out the slots so they would fit. they are the nicest looking nerf out there but if you look at the foot peg the bar is open and they dont give you a plug for it either. i eventually got my money back. i dont recommend them to anybody. just save up and buy some ac's .jmo

mine fit like that to, do u want them to be lose? i thought i would have to grind out the holes to but i dint. once u get the bolts started the "suck up" right into position. u want them to fit tight like that.

ok to clear things up, everything from tusk is on backorder till march including the g-force axles

bulldriver, those are for the 300 and rockymountain didnt send you the wrong ones, everyone with a 300 i know has had to drill the holes to make the slots . unless maybe they sent us all the wrong ones?

there great for the price, strong + look nice

if they were made for a 300 you shouldnt have to drill anything. and another point is why is there godam rust on the front mounting bar in the first pic. i took em out of the package and looked and saw rust! why is that? and why did they stick out 2 inches PAST my back tire. oh well its all over now i put em on and rode 40 miles on a 50" inch trail dented both sides, bent the front bar to piss and shipped them back and got a refund. so there,,, tusk nerfs are junk,,, i know for a fact....

I ordered Tusk nerfs for my KFX yesterday, but like it was said, their products are on back order for a month. I'm sure if the quality sucked, people would spend the extra couple of bucks and buy DG nerf bars or the AC standards.

I think i'll take the chance, and learn for myself if the Tusks are crap. :o

The mounting looks weird for the 300ex also, not the same as the 400's.

But did you have to cut your heelguards?

I cut mine a little bit, but not enough that it is noticable.
