Hey. I was wondering if i could put shocks from another quad on mine. I know shocks from a 300ex will work. I was talkin to a local guy that works on quads at the local track, and is also a distrubitor for some parts, and he said that shocks from a diff quad have different stress points and that it is bad. He said there is a chance of damaging the shocks or snapping them. What do you guys know?

you can use shocks from a different quad, but chances are they wont work right. shocks are built specifly for a certain model of quad and lots of thing go into making them work right. geometry on the frame, a-arms geomtry, the machines wieght, the riders wieght. unless you get shocks off another LT250R with the same a-arms, they wont work right

The guy you talked to is correct. Do not swap shocks from one model to another.

jeff said it all, the stroke of the rod has to be exact or you will cause damage to your shocks,a-arms, or quad which could lead to a bad wreck.
