Friend and I will be installing a Hot Cam stage 1 in his 400 here later this week, and he has been running mobile 1 red cap. Should be continue running this oil during the break in of this cam, or should he run a non-synthetic oil??

NO, you never use any type of synthetic oil to break in any engine component synthetic is far to slipery and will not allow proper break in, he need to run a normal engine oil for break in
