I told the old lady I wanted to get a new 450r, and I already have a 400ex (426) Do you think this is dumb? I dont race I just love speed, power, a few wheelies here and there, hitting a few jumps, Climbing hills, riding trails, throwing rocks at friends:D :devil: :D :blah:

my friend use to have a 400ex. He didnt race, just jumped and rode trails. He said he loved the change to the 450r....

I bought my 400 from a guy that turned around and got a 450r...I'm good friends with him and let me tell you, I've put a ton of money and work into my bike and I love it the way it is, but those R's rip...he's got some stuff done to his but still...they're fast bikes and a lot of fun to ride, it's a totally different ride than a 400ex, you would have a lot of fun with it and hey...he who dies with the most toys wins right?...right.

If your 400ex is payed off keep it. One less payment.:D

I was the same way, only I have a 250r alos. I put a ton of money into it and loved it. I still love the 250r's but after getting my 450r, it doesnt really compare. If you got the $$ go for the 450r I think you will like it.

i wouldn't say they are insanely faster, ive rode a few of my buddies, and one with hrc, pipe, and filter. you can definately tell the difference, but it didn't feel "insanely" faster than my bike.......the yfz on the other hand :D :D nice!! cant wait to get one!!!
