Do you think that 22 inch tires are too big for a 400ex with stock gearing?I primarily ride trails.

22's with stock gearing will be fine except for the tighter trails, you may want to drop to a 14T on the front sprocket. This would get the low end back that the tires might have soaked up.:)

He is right i guess, Actully i ran a 14t front sproctek with my 22's all season, But thats just because i needed that extra Jump off the line. But i get by just fine with a 15t front sprocket. I only use first gear on my 400ex when i start and thats about it!
