I am selling my 250ex and wondering what to get next. I am really unsure what I want but don't want anything that I can't handle. So please help me out.

400EX, Z400, KFX400, DVX400 ARE YOU NEXT CHOICES MORE THAN LIKELY

My first question is WHY are you selling your 250ex?

If you are selling because you've outgrown it, and it's just not fast enough for you, or doesn't have the suspension capabilities you're looking for, then you're probably ready to move into just about anything, provided you can learn the clutch.

A YFZ450, or even a 400EX, will be much faster (and thus more dangerous) than a 250EX. But if you're riding capabilities are beyond the capabilities of a 250ex, then you can certainly handle the extra power, and you've probably been riding long enough to be smart and not ride beyond your abilities. I would never direct a beginner or a novice to a high-end sport quad like the YFZ450, but if you've outgrown the 250EX, then you're beyond the "beginner" stage.

you should have no problem upgrading to a 400, that is if you atleast know how to work the clutch some what. my cousin upped from a 250ex to a 300 and now has a 400ex. he grew out of the 300 pretty fast, a little less then a year. i upped from a 250EX to a kfx400. and wow what a difference! you won't regret it! i say go out and get a 400. both the KFX and EX are good. KFX has a little bit more power, liquid cooling, and a little bit more speed.

a 400 will fit you perfect. trust me you won't regret it. you will regret it if you get something in between like a 300. like i said before my cousin did that and had it less then a year.
