Hi i'm interested in buying a 400EX motor but I wanted to get a pros opinion about it first and to see was it worth it. Can u help me? This is what the guy selling it said...

"The 2002 Honda 400ex parts. All the components are stock. The motor is in good running shape other than the top motor mount is cracked (as shown in pics). Everything else is in good condition. The parts also include full wiring harness, carburetor, front and rear shocks, gas tank, air box, full exhaust, rear skid plate and oil tank. The oil tank has dents in it. Asking price is $1000 obo"......

I want to know is it worth a $1000 or maybe just $600. Thanks for any help u can offer

I do not want to be rude but try and post this in a forum and see what you get back!

No, to me I would have to look at it a little better! I would be bothered with the dents in the oil tank. I have raced two differnet machines for multiple years and have never dented an oil tank! That would worry me a little. Where it sits at it is hard to dent!

pm's answered, geeeeezzzz:eek2:

When the arms were on they were under 51". I fit through the post at the Nationals, leaning on the rear of the seat mind you! Using standard offset wheels!

No, sorry about that. I marked them sold. The guy I had the deal with sweetened the pot with some cash the other night so I sold them.
A set of LSR Recreation +2+1 a-arms and a set of works shocks with 150 bucks, just for a set of almost new +3+1 Race series long travels from Lonestar. I think I did pretty good.
