I too remember seeing him on Friday nights and in the summertime when I would get to stay up late. (when I was a kid and when I grew up :) ) I used to love the skit about the cards that were "kept in a mayonnaise jar since noon today". Johnny was class! When NBC decided to put Jay in there, he backed out with his head held high. Johnny was great up until (and after) his last show. Nothing like that sniveling David Letterman who really wanted his job. Geez his show really stinks now.
