carbs

i have a 39mm lectron carb that i've been meaning to put on my 2002 300ex. i have outwear airbox top and a k&n airfilter and an aftermarket exhaust. would the carb give me a good improvemnt on power or not really? i've heard a bunch of different things so i want to hear other peoples opinions. thanks

i think that will be too big for a 300ex. i have been told to put a 36 or 38mm lectron on my 426.
