well i blew my motor up and decided to go with a 416, a good decision.its a wiseco 416 10.8:1. i decided to put a stage II hotcam with it and i have a r4 slipon, k&n filter. i run cam2 and/or a cam2 93 mix (cam2=110octane). i noticed that the header gets way hotter than it should. i went up to practice at a local indoor winter series track and ran it pretty much as much as i needed to which was pretty hard considering keeping in front of the 450s. i pulled off the track and was checking everthing out and seen my header glowing bright red from the cylinder part to the heat sheild. im not sure whats causing this, buts its only started since i bored my motor. any help would be apreciated.

I would say that with all the new mods you listed you are running way lean on your mix making it run hot.

maybe true, but im running a 180 jet and that seems a bit impossible to be running lean..

you might want to take it out to do a plug check.

what needle clip position are you at? what pilot jet you running? how many turns out on teh fuel screw are you?

you at the summit indoors i take it....hows the turnout for woodsman? what class are you running? im thinking about racing tomarrow....but its so small up there i dont wanna get hurt or tear my bike up
