Big bore oil?

I am running a 330 big bore in my 300ex. My grandpa has been telling me to start running Motorola 15w-50 oil in it because it runs hotter than a stock engine. Right now I am just running the Honda GN4 10w-40. Should I go ahead and run this new kind of oil or stay with the same. If neither of those are a good choice, then what should I run. Also, right now my motor probablly has about 10 hours of easy riding on it so far. I am not done with my break- in yet.

go with amsoil, klotz, maxima. I found that honda oil breaks down fast. On my xr250r my bike ran better and cooler with klotz and I didn't have to change the oil as much. I've found that the fully synthetic bel-ray is better than honda oil, but not as good as klotz.

Should I go with full synthetic once I break it in? or run 1/2 synthetic, and what viscosity?

Just run a couple of tanks of gas through it and then switch to full synthetic. It's much higher quality than conventional oil or semi-synthetics, has far better lubrication properties, and takes longer to break down than petroleum-based oils. I, and many others on this site recommend Mobil 1 RED cap 15w50 full synthetic; its way cheaper than Honda oil and is one of the best oils you can run in your motor. There is also a new Mobil 1 with a black cap that you can run, I think its called MX4 or something like that, but don't quote me on that because i'm not sure. DO NOT run any other color cap of Mobil One because they are designed to be used in automobiles and contain friction modifiers which will cause your clutch to slip. ;)

I have recently switched from years of Honda Gn4 to a full synthetic and am glad that I did. I have tried the Klotz and Motorex so far and I think Ill be sticking with the Klotz...

klotz is garbage...definately go with a fulkly synethetic like amsol or the mobile 1 red cap 15w-50

Does anyone run Mobile 1 w/ green cap? I put some in my new 400 and it seems to be working well.

I've run the synthetic Honda stuff (HP4?) and Red Line Oils with success...they both work pretty good.
