oem filter on 250ex

I'm wondering if the oem filters are washable or reusable. Mine is filthy and I'm wondering if I just need to buy a new one or if I can just wash the one I have now. I have a 2002 sportrax 250ex.

It's re-usable! Just wash it out and re-oil it and you're good to go.

I take it that you are talking about the oem air filter and not the oil filter, right?:rolleyes:

Note: I would not "maintenance" your oem oil filter, or any oil filter for that matter.:D

Pull the foam filter off of the metal canister and wash it out in kerosene (get some from a COOP that sells fuel) wash it out in some warm soapy water, rinse and let it air dry, reoil it with some foam filter oil and put all back on.
