View Full Version : pivot bolt problem

Ive got an 86 250r and im tearing it down to the frame. Everything is off of it except the swingarm I took the pivot bolt nut off and tried to drive the bolt out and it wouldnt move Ive tried everything but cutting on it could anybody give me any suggestions. Please help, im in a bind.

How do I cut it out where do I cut it?

I had to use a sawsall on mine. i tired everything, let it soak in wd for a couple night, heated it, beat it, nothing worked. You can get the sawsall in between the frame and the motomount. After that I lube mine all the time.

if the hammer doesn't work just get a bigger hammer

if that doesn't work cut the head of the bolt off and use the big hammer on it that way

try an assetalene torch and get it RED HOT, and maybe some NUTS OFF or PB BLASTER before. if that doesn't work your going to have to bust out the sawzawl.

Once you get the new one installed I got 2 words... MARINE GREASE...
