'86 250r swingarm on 400ex

will it fit? just wondering b/c i have an r and a 400, and would prefer the shorter aluminum swingarm whereas my friend who is buying my ex wants the longer swingarm off the r. thanks for any help.

No, they won't work.

what doesnt match up? i was thinking of putting the whole rearend (bearing carrier, axle, caliper) everything onto the r, could i just use the spacers from the stock r swingarm on the 400 swingarms to get it to bolt up right. thanks for the help.

The R swingarm bolt does not go through the motor like it does on the 400 and the linkage mount points are way off.
