Which one is a better choice to buy right now a 250r or a yfz 450 , which one handles better?

this question gets so tiresom... i will jus say this. if u dont know how to ride a 2 stroke get the yfz. either quad can be awsome. stock for stock the yfz is better. u prolly wont find a stock 250r and for the price now adays its easy to find a modded to the hilt 250r for a better price then the yfz. i dont know yur history but i would wager iether quad is beyond yur current ability which means u can grow into it. but my statement stands, unless u already know how to ride a 2 stroke. u will b faster on the 4 stroke.

A 450r! lol

Im guessing your going to be racing right?? I think that the day of the 250r for racing and trail riding is comeing to a end (after 19 years). Im not saying there going to be no fun on the trails and the track and I know for a fact that they will still woop up on the newer bikes but I just don't think there is going to be a market for the 250r that much any more. So if it was me I would buy a 4 stroke.:eek2:

Which ever choice you make............. have fun.

i would say the 2 strokers will always b faster. but only if u know how to ride them. which is a dieing breed like actually knowing how to drive a car with a manual tranny no stupid ABS break bs and rear wheel drive.

Its all about what you like....I cant stand fourstrokes......If you know how to ride a twostroke they're the only way to go....I got to test ride my friends yfz this summer and personally I think its not what its cracked up to be....I dont think its compareable to a 250r....

id take a 250R over a yfz anyday. the frame geometry of the 250R and the 450R are close to perfect. id still take a bone stock 250R over a yfz. the 250R is hard to beat if its got a good rider.

I'd say this goes for anyone that is new to quads and is looking for an atv. Get a 450r, yfz450, z400, 400ex or similar quad. If you get use to those and still yearn for something that will really get your adrenaline going, get a 250r. But you'll be better off learning on a 4stroke.

id say that the 250r's day is coming to an end myself and i own one, makes me sad. BUT 2 strokes are always faster when it comes to the line. and they will always keep you on your toes. the response and snappyness of a 2 stroke is fenominal...if you buy one buy one your gonna keep cuz you wont get back what you have in it...

unless its a yz426 or crf450 modded 250r

Most definately go with the 250R unless you are a beginner. anyone will tell you that you have to know how to ride a 2 stroke and its true. a 2 stroke is lots more fun to ride and more power for less money. you are going to spend half the money on a 250 and a better bike.

Go with the 2 stroke
