I've got a 250x.. Does anyone know what the wattage is on the headlight? I currently don't have one on, and I want to put one on. I have no battery, and I don't want to overload the stator. I bought a set of 55w driving lights, but I thought the stock was only 30w. Does anyone know if I can put a cap on the headlight to take some load off the stator? If so, what value?

If it's like a 300ex, I can give you some specs off the top of my head.

Headlight 60/55 watts Hi/Lo Beam
Taillight 5 watts
Reverse/Neutral lights 1 watt each

I was adding up the wattages for the same reason your are, to find out the total to see if aftermarket ones would be possible with the stock stator. The total was around 67 watts for lights.

Very cool.. Thanks

I think I am gonna put on one and try it. I was gonna try to find a lower wattage bulb, but I think I'll give it a shot..

I believe the stator is 100 watts. You will be fine with ONE 55 watt bulb (not two), so long as it is a regular incandescent bulb. The electrical system on the 250X is AC, so you cannot use an HID light without converting to DC.
