extended gas tanks

ok so ive seen these 400ex's with the gas tank sticking out the top i was wonderind if it is just a bigger gas tnk of if it was somekind of add on if any1 knows about this can they please help me out thankyou

They are completely different tanks. They hold more fuel and are of better quality then the oem tanks.

whoa hold up!, the stock gas tanks are of top quality the only gas tank that compares are the clark tanks PERIOD!

for the 400ex riders how long can u ride with a stock gas tank in time. like 1,2, or 3 hours

All quads that are stock are supposed to rune for 4 hours on a full tank of gas. Thata is how they determine the size of the tank put in different quads.

I race stock class with mine, so I have to have a stock tank. They will go for 2hours 15 minutes aprox. when you are running them hard. Then they go on reserve. For about 15 minutes
